Cuscuta, pianta senza radici

In alternativa basta sapere che è bastarda e succhia la linfa alle altre piante, marcendo vergognosamente ai primi freddi. se trova buon cibo dilaga e prepara milioni di semi microscopici racchiusi in baccelli. per debellarla non è fondamentale estirparla completamente, ma i semi vanno distrutti, magari con un bel falò.
la cuscuta, o ragno malefico, ha però delle proprietà terapeutiche: è un buon diuretico ed è utile per curare ascessi e foruncoli. si utilizza essiccata o fresca.
PER GLI ASCESSI
far cuocere una cucchiaiata di cuscuta in pochissima acqua ottenendo così una pappa, che va schiacciata e spalmata su un panno di lino, che va applicato tiepido sull'ascesso di cui affretterà la maturazione, eliminando o attenuando i dolori dell'infiammazione.
DIURETICO
bere 2 tazze al giorno di cuscuta, preparata in infuso nella dose di un cucchiaio raso per litro.

The Cuscuta, or evil spider, has however some therapeutics properties: it's a good diuretic and it's useful to cure abscesses and spots. It must be used dried or fresh.
For abscesses
Cook a spoonful of Cuscuta in little water, obtaining a mush, which must be crushed and spreaded on a flax's cloth; this must be applied on the abscess and it will accelerate its maturation, removing or attenuating the pain of inflammation.
Diuretic
Drink two cups a day of Cuscuta, prepared like an infusion: a spoon for litre.
